It’s Fun To Stay At The SCCA

20161008_101823

Qualified fifth this morning for my first-ever amateur SCCA race. Dont expect to set the world on fire. Just happy to be here. The good news is that I’m not the only Neon in the class. The bad news is that the other Neon is an ex-Koni Challenge SRT-4. On Motons.

Wish us luck.

Anybody still running Neon coupes* in SCCA? Or are they “obsolete” ?

Good luck against that 2nd Gen. It’s got twice the power, at a minimum.

I hope that you’re having a good run this weekend in the neon. My olde neon showed Plymouth power today in the Chumpcar 10-hour at Auto Club Speedway Fontana. The results say that we finished 5th overall and 2nd in class B, but there were some serious timing & scoring snafus. We think that our true finishing position was higher. BTW – Thanks for urging me to buy an American-made Impact brand helmet. I just bought their 1320 model, and it’s very nice for a $325 helmet.

    10.9, a bit late as I’m out on a Road Rally .

Anyway : luck schmuck ~ go out there and race until you win or it breaks .

How did you do ? .
