In Order For The Democratic Party To Live, Al Franken Has To Die

By the time I’m done writing this, it will likely be official—Al Franken is stepping down from his Senate seat due to several allegations of sexual harassment and/or misconduct. This is after his earlier apology to LeeAnn Tweeden, and after Democrats everywhere suggested that Ms. Tweeden’s accusation was a fantasy, jointly created by Roger Stone and Fox News. They pointed out that Mr. Franken has been a “champion of women’s rights,” an “ally,” and basically everything else that they say when somebody they like is accused of something that they normally accuse Republicans of doing. A couple of weeks went by, and all sorts of news threatened to bury the Franken accusations.

But, you see, there was a problem. Other women came forward. And kept coming forward. And what seemed like a fabrication could no longer be ignored, not even by leaders within his own party, as the total approached double digits. Al had to go.

What you must realize, of course, is that nobody in the Democratic party gives a damn if Al Franken groped a woman or two at a photo op. What they care about is the appearance of caring. Because there’s a sneaky, inconvenient truth that Democrats are coming to grips with, and it’s this:

Donald Trump isn’t nearly as unpopular with the American voter as the media wants you to think he is.

In fact, the vast majority of people who voted for him would gladly do so again. According to the WaPo, if we redid the election today, Hillary Clinton likely wouldn’t even win the popular vote. People are becoming more and more disillusioned with the party. The screams of RUSSIA are starting to look more and more like a partisan attack.

But the Republicans are prepared to deliver a gift on a silver platter to the Dems, and his name is Roy Moore. Even if you’re a dyed in the wool conservative, like your author, it’s hard to accept the accusations against Moore. Basically, when one boils it down, the charges come down to Moore being a big ol’ dirty pedophile. Even Mitch McConnell is uncomfortable with Moore.

However, the R majority in the Senate is so tenuous that Donald Trump has stepped up his support for Moore in recent days, much to the delight of Democrats everywhere. And the Dems looked at Moore and realized that they couldn’t hold the high ground in Alabama if they continued to support Franken, and Franken would be replaced by a Democratic governor with another Democrat. So, one by one, they began to call for his resignation.

And as the midterm elections approach, Democrats can remind you that they exorcised the demons within their own party while the Republicans elected a child molester. They can remind you that when “they go low, we go high.” They can shout “GRAB HER BY THE PUSSY” as loudly as they want now.

Make no mistake—if there were no Roy Moore, there would be no calls for Al’s head from Schumer, Gillibrand, Stabenow, etc. Franken was a pawn, a sacrificial lamb that the Democratic party was only to happy to send to the slaughter. Don’t give them any credit for it.

I don’t really care about the Alabama Senate race, but I notice they seem to have moved on from smashing statues to destroying lives over historical wrongs, some of which may be real.

    I’m not sure that’s progress.

Agreed. I’m surprised that Bark is so willing to throw Moore under the bus. The evidence against him and the timing of its release is suspect. We’ve reached a point where any man (especially a Republican running for office) can be accused of sexual misconduct by a woman from his past and he’s guilty without question. Women never lie nor do they ever harbor ulterior motives. Ask the Duke lacrosse team.

Why do you say “especially a Republican”?

Both Franken and Conyers are democrats. I’ve seen no partisanship here. Weinstein is apparently a democrat.

I do share your concern about claims. And I have no way of knowing the veracity of these claims. Unlike many commenters on this thread and readers of this blog, I generally believe that WaPo and CNN vet their sources and accusers; witness the WaPos recent exposure of a fake Roy Moore accuser.

I say especially a Republican because the press has a long history of dropping fake hit pieces on them just prior to an election (Dan Rather on Bush for instance). These are 40 year old allegations suddenly being levied at a guy who’s been in public office for decades. Timing is of huge consequence and it’s beyond fishy here. Neither Franken nor Conyers are up for election next week; they can resign and be replaced by another Democrat. The party is unharmed which is not the case for Republicans if Moore loses. Weinstein’s not a politician and Clinton’s loss made him expendable.

The claims are a huge concern. I had one particularly ugly break up in my past. If I were a public figure, it wouldn’t shock me at all if that ex girlfriend made up abuse allegations about me. She was unbelievably vindictive. In the current environment, I would be presumed guilty and expected to accept the destruction of my career. Scary.

Apparently, MiataMeToo is good with allowing his 14 year old daughter alone with serial child sex predators, but only when they don’t have many women their own age to rape.

If there’s credence to the claims about Moore then he should be ousted (it is looking likely he’ll win in spite of the allegations). It would be nice if people held politicians accountable and to uphold moral standards instead of primarily valuing them for just political power or prowess (Clintons, Conyer, Franken, Moore, Kennedys, etc).

I certainly agree it would be nice to be able to choose among politicians of good character but I think we lost that argument when Kennedy left a girl to drown and faced no consequences.

That, and the Democrat/media alliance always drops a pre-election bomb on the Republican candidate in any race they consider strategic. I think there’s a real question if the proper response to that is to give the seat to a Democrat.

Elect Moore. If any actual evidence of criminal conduct surfaces, replace him with another Republican. Let’s not put a far lefty in the Senate to appease Democrats who have suddenly decided it’s politically expedient to be judgmental about sexual escapades.

Remember the outrage from the left when Bill Clinton was forced to pay Paula Jones $850K because he decided she really needed to see his pecker? Yeah, me neither.

Juanita Broderick was the brutal rape victim of a violent Bill Clinton. The press reported it breathlessly 24/7!? Nope, lying whore who should be ignored.

Thank god the New Yorker begrudgingly agreed to report the story or Harvey would still be showering in front of aspiring actresses. You really don’t care about that, though, do you? Gotta protect your scumbag heroes in the Dem party. Some random murdered broads and an endless line of rape victims are irrelevant. The ends justifies the means, after all. Gotta break some eggs to usher in the utopia. Right comrade?

Forget Moore, it is more worrisome that conservatives/Republicans like you Bark, have endorsed an unread, Twitter addicted, pathological liar, sex abuser, con man as president. He promised to drain the swamp but stocked it with wall street insiders who made their money by fucking over the middle class. I would say that Republicans should be ashamed of themselves for supporting such a unknowledgeable buffoon who cant even negotiate important legislation because he doesnt like or bother to read it, however as Trump has demonstrated over and over again, if you have no honor, it is impossible to be ashamed of your actions.

For a year now I have held back in hopes that this idiot would grow into the job, but no more. I will confront and eviscerate Trump supporters every chance I get.

This. There is nothing “Conservative” nor “Republican” about an admitted sexual harasser with a long career of using the government to trample on personal property rights and a passion for protectionism. Unfortunately the party that elected him has no room for those who value traditional conservative principles such as free trade, responsible governance, and character.

In other Democratic party news, now that the Dingells have a new heir in place in the House (Debbie, who like her husband is a member of the lucky sperm club, her maternal grandfather was one of the seven Fisher brothers, as in Fisher Body), and the Conyers are fighting out their own line of succession, the Levin dynasty of Michigan has tabbed retiring House member Sander Levin’s son, Andy, to replace his dad. Andy Levin returned to Michigan in 2006 after spending 13 years out of the state, to run for the state senate. At that point he’d never had a job in the private sector. After law school he had a series of jobs alternating between working for labor unions and getting appointed to positions by Democrats. Amist charges of nepotism and carpetbagging, he lost the election by about 700 votes but no worry for a member of Michigan’s Democratic ruling class (the Levin family owns a founding partner’s interest in one of the state’s most powerful law firms, Carl & Sander’s uncle was a Federal judge), just a few months after he lost the election, then Gov. Jennifer Granholm named him to a $124K/yr position as assistant director of the Michigan Department of Labor. When the director left his position, Levin was named acting director. A Republican replaced Granholm so Levin was out of a job so he started up an allegedly private sector firm devoted to finding government energy subsidies for businesses.

One of Andy Levin’s projected opponents in the primary will be another Andy, Andy Meisner, who is currently Oakland County treasurer despite the fact that he has no training or expertise in anything related to finance or accounting. Meisner’s mom is the mayor of my suburb (are we seeing a pattern here?). He doesn’t like me. A couple of elections ago, a friend of mine was running for city council against the local machine, run by Democrats, with the support of Gary Torgow, a prominent member of the orthodox Jewish community that owns the third biggest commercial real estate holder in Detroit, the Sterling Group. You’ve heard of Dan Gilbert and the Illitches. What they don’t own in Detroit, Torgow and his group own. I figure that perforce he has to be in bed with Democrats if he wants to do business in Detroit.

Anyhow, for city council that year, the machine here in my town was running a couple of black ladies whose day jobs were working for elected Democrats in Lansing.

The mayor was campaigning in the orthodox Jewish community and a friend of mine, who is impecably honest, told me that he himself heard her tell religious Jews to “vote for the schvartzes”. The word means “blacks” in Yiddish and while my grandparents might have used the word without malice, liberal American Jews like Andy Meisner would consider it a slur.

So, on election day while handing out literature at a polling place I walked over to Andy, who was campaigning for his mom and their machine, and I asked him, “Andy, is it true that your mother told people to vote for the schvartzes?” He scowled, but didn’t deny it.
Ever since then he’s been openly hostile and nasty to me, in public. Just how deep under a politician’s skin do you have to irritate them to get them to drop the mask in public?

One of these years, we’ll make membership in the lucky sperm club to be a disqualifying factor when seeking public office.

As for Franken and Roy Moore, last night I asked a hard left friend of mine who was going on about Moore molesting a 14 year old girl if he was going to get rid of his Led Zeppelin, Roling Stones, and Jerry Lee Lewis records. Oh, and then there’s Chuck Berry, who did time under the Mann Act (taking a minor across state lines for immoral purposes), and even Peter Yarrow, who got caught with an underage groupie.

I don’t recall any of those gentlemen running for the United States Senate, claiming to be defenders of the Word of God and the Constitution, and pushing for a restoration of traditional moral values.

As obnoxious and slanted as Bark’s screed is, in the end he gets it at least partially right. The situation here is the same as it’s been for the past 8-10 years:
      1. The Dems claim the high ground and reinforce their own fart-smelling moral superiority while taking no actual political risk at all
      2. The soulless GOP carries on with their win at all costs strategy by continuing to back a deeply flawed candidate in spite of his very questionable personal history, bat shit crazy beliefs that have nothing to do with practical political governance, and keen ability to offend massive swaths of his own party
      3. The actual business of the country continues on it’s downward trajectory, and no one even discusses the current marquee legislation that will almost certainly deepen inequality, push more of the tax burden to the middle class, and balloon the debt by over a trillion dollars.

I was somewhat aware of the melodrama with VoGo as a result of reading past comments. However, the breadth of it shocked me when I decided to make some comments regarding Al “take my picture while I grab these sleeping tits and this is definitely not harassment because Democrat” Franken. I began commenting yesterday and he’s already implied multiple times that I and several other commenters are homosexuals. I’m unaffected by this because I brush my teeth with cobra blood and my chin has brushed more lady taints than Einstein could possibly count. With that said, his comments have no value and gum up the commenting system. Maybe institute a 3 strike policy if he can’t lay off the personal attacks.

Let me illustrate my point. Let’s say I start a comment to VoGo with the following: “VoGo likes to vigorously finger-bang canine rectum.” I think we can all agree that this is clearly 100% true. Our caveman instinct tells us the probability is on par with the existence of gravity. However, it’s a crude personal rebuke and really isn’t conducive to sparking a productive discussion. As such, I will not begin comments with that statement despite the fact that it describes Vogo’s typical weekend activity with the kind of accuracy that would make an atomic clock jealous.

          Let’s keep it cordial.

Just like Kevin Spacey and so many gay priests, Moore is not a pedophile, he is a rapist who just so happens to be straight. A man (or woman, but let’s be real) who preys on underage but post-pubescent teens is a rapist who lacks the confidence or physical ability to attack his peers.

    Reply
    • silentsod

Correct, Moore is technically an ephebophile and no doubt 14 would have been under the age of consent in Alabama (so, even if it was consensual it would still be statutory) as that is 16 years of age.

      Reply
      • Ronnie Schreiber

He’s only an ephebophile if he’s *exclusively* attracted to teens. That’s what makes it a paraphilia aka fetish. If you’re walking down the street and you see a teenage girl with her 30 something mother and you think they’re both hot, you’re normal.

        A) Is that supposed to be a positive? B) I have heard of at least one 14 year old who said that she had sex with him when he was 30+. If you think that a 14 year old can consent to anything then you are a bad person and your parents should be ashamed.

It’s hard to be a rapist if you haven’t actually raped (had sex with) any over your “victims”

The wapo article (the only one that I’ve read) specifically says that he didn’t sleep with the 14 year old (or any of them)

It’s amazing to me how many false rapes make national news (duke, UVA) and people don’t learn a thing from them when a 40 year old accusation pops up right before an election.

Rock stars were banging teenagers in the 70’s and no one gave a damn but we’re supposed to be mad now cause a 30 year old guy who has been married for the last 30 years asked a few teenagers out 40 years ago?

          • Ronnie Schreiber

There are many more than just two. Just offhand, Lena Dunham fabricated a rape in her book and the Matrass Girl at Columbia was a fraud.

Then there are literally scores of lawsuits settled in favor of the plaintiffs over being unfairly punished in a Title IX investigation over alleged sexual assault.

Women are not some kind of special human beings who do not lie. Just like men, they’ll lie about anything if it suits their purposes. There are reasons why we have trials.

Part of the Title IX nonsense and current hysteria (word chosen intentionally) over sexual harassment is intended to conflate every sexual advance with rape and puposefully avoid involving the criminal justice system. In the criminal justice system men can be acquitted. A politician, acquitted of charges once famously said, “where do I go to get my reputation back?” If that’s the case after an acquital in a criminal case, how much the more so if their is no criminal case and it’s all about damaging a reputation.

          • VoGo

Wow. Your best defense is that Roy Moore was such a failure that he couldn’t overpower a 14 year old girl. Do ANY Republicans have ANY sense of morality?

            It wasn't an exhaustive list.

Here's #3. Today one of Moore's accusers said she was lying.

          • Ronnie Schreiber

It’s interesting to see lefties use terms like predator, pedophile, molestor, and overpower. According to the woman, she went with him voluntarily, she let him partially undress her, he fondled her and when he moved her hand to his still clothed dick, she demurred. There was no force or coercion involved and when she told him to stop, he stopped. She makes no mention of him trying to overpower her or her having to fight him off. She claims she met with him again afterwards.

Moore doesn’t look good but when people find a need to exaggerate what he did, particularly for political reasons, it makes him look more credible.

The timing of dropping the accusations one day after the Republicans couldn’t replace Moore on the ballot is also a bit fishy. Moore has been a controversial elected official for a long time and none of these accusations came out until just then.

      • Daniel J

No, it is 16 for the other party over 19. Moore was 30 something when this reportedly happened with a 14 year old.

They didn’t realize, oh, say three months ago before Hillary’s good pal Harvey the rape master popped onto the radar that getting BJ’s from interns was wrong? Destroying women that your husband abused so you could keep your grip on power is bad? Get outta here!

You’re seriously telling me that Democrats are so morally obtuse that they didn’t know sexual abuse was bad until a few months ago? It took them 20+ years to figure it out?
They knew it. They didn’t care and they wouldn’t care now if Hillary was President. Weinstein would be partying in the Lincoln bedroom tonight instead of pretending to take remedial sex addiction classes.

If Democratic leaders “get it now” why do we have to wait for accusations to go public? If they get someone to resign before it’s on the front page, I’ll concede the point.

Presumably Pelosi knows which members have used the sexual harassment slush fund, yet they’re still here.

Additionally, Franken and Conyers got party support for years – the DNC was more than willing to exchange obedience for protection for the last decade, in fact, the DNC supported them coincidentally/concurrently with some of their (alleged) attacks.

If Moore is a one term Senator and enjoys RNC support before they primary him, we can still argue that the RNC is doing more to distance itself from (alleged) attackers because

          1) They didn’t support him while he was (allegedly) attacking people

          2) He ultimately spent less time under RNC protection than Franken or Conyers

      “Child sex predator”

Well, aren’t we being melodramatic? At worst Moore is acused of petting with a teenage girl. She says she when she told him to stop he stopped. If that makes him a “child sex predator” than every teenager who ever got to second base is a sex predator.

Jimmy Page and Bill Wyman did more than just pet 14 year old girls. They set them up as mistresses and in Page’s case there may have been a (somewhat consensual) kidnapping involved. Have you stopped listening to Led Zeppelin and the Rolling Stones because they are child sex predators? What about Peter, Paul & Mary? Peter Yarrow did time for sex with an underage groupie.

I’m 100% sure you’ve never criticized Bill Clinton for traveling to the private island of a convicted pedophile sex trafficer.

As for attractive women and powerful men, women have been trading sex for power since the beginning of sex. It takes two to tango, have sex, and be corrupt. One of the things I liked about The Sopranos was how it showed how just about everyone can be corrupted. In one episode, Charles Dutton played a cop who gave Tony a ticket and then got demoted or fired because of Tony’s pull. Later, Tony sees the guy working in a garden store and feeling guilty tries to make it up to him and Dutton’s character refuses to have anything to do with him. I’m sure part of the anger of Rose McGowen and others has to do with some self loathing for allowing themselves to be compromised.

The Rose McGowan, Ashley Judd, etc crew make me want to puke. The press parades them around as if they’re brave warriors fighting the patriarchy. They didn’t say a damn thing when they were active in Hollywood and looking for work. Check out old photos of them smiling wide next to Weinstein. You know the BJ”s were being delivered hard and fast whenever a job was open. Now that their looks are gone and they have no career to pursue, they’re out with the long knives. Gimme a break. It’s easy when you have nothing to lose.

You’re not adhering to a reasonable standard, Ronnie. VoGo made it clear that prior to a few months ago, Democrats were unaware that sexual harassment, assault, rape, etc. were morally wrong in any way. Flashing your schlong at a random chick is wrong? What!? Any critique of Democrat sexual activity was just evil right wingers being prudes who should get a hobby. Bill Clinton made his trips on the Lolita Express prior to the Dems being “WOKE AS HELL, SON!” so they can’t be criticized in any way for condoning it.

I didn’t write anything of the sort, Oppadington. I wrote that Democrats are committed to ending harassment now.

Not a single one of you (alt) right wingers appears capable of anything other than criticizing Democrats. Newsflash: You are the party in control – of all 3 Federal bodies – and yet, rather than hold yourselves to standards, or actually govern, you sit around whining about Chappaquiddick and Benghazi.

Good luck with that. Good luck apologizing for Roy Moore. Good luck with Repeal and Replace. And good luck with Mueller.

End harassment now that Democrats have been exposed as harassing the holy hell out of people! Sounds like a winning strategy to me.

Good luck with the moral indignity, dude. Ain’t flying anymore. When you can show me Roy Moore’s semen on an intern’s shirt or a photo of him grabbing a sleeping woman’s tits, I’ll lend you credibility. Yours is the party of female abuse. Hope you’re proud.

          • Opaddington

You really like to throw homosexual accusations out there. Do you realize that when you use homosexuality to insult people you don’t like, you’re insulting homosexuals, too? It’s a tough concept. Mull it over for awhile.

Mueller’s investigation is hopelessly compromised by political bias and multiple conflicts of interest. The FBI and DoJ’s stonewalling of congressional oversight is an afront to our republic and constitution.

Mueller’s team had to come clean on Strzok, Weisseman, and Ohr because of an Investigator General’s look into a semi-related matter and also FOIA requests/lawsuits and the whole thing has a bad smell to it. Just today it was revealed that one of the lawyers, Mueller’s “right hand man”, represented the guy who set up Hillary’s servers while he was briefly in private practice. That’s a hell of a coincidence. I’d rather not believe that the intelligence and law enforcement apparatus of the federal government has been turned into a tool of the Democratic party and Deep State.

Mueller’s team has conflicts of interest that would never be allowed in the private sector.

          • Ronnie Schreiber

“You and Ronnie really are obsessed with Roy Moore’s semen. Maybe get a room together?”

Actually I haven’t said a word about Judge Moore’s ejaculate so it seems, once again, SJWs always project. You’re the one who seems preoccupied with men having sex with men.

Tell us about the time you “experimented” with your best friend when he was sleeping over.

In Alabama, Moore still could have been convicted, at the very least a class C misdemeanor. Keep in mind this was in 1979 when he was in his 30s. If allegations are true, other people doing it and society dismissing it in those circumstances is not right either in my opinion.

Roy Moore has been in the media sine the early 2000s and its hard to take these allegations as fact since there has been plenty of opportunity for these women to come out.

Alabama is getting hosed. Doug Jones wants republicans to vote for him just because “he’s the better guy” even if his policies and too far left. Some Republicans don’t want to vote for Moore because of the allegations. Either way, whoever gets in will not really be representing Alabama.

Both the left and right have forgotten: innocent until proven guilty. True for people, true for cars. This is why i hate BMW 3-series and their promoters: i actually OWNED BMW’s, used them, had them break, paid for expensive, constant repairs, and thus, unlike the fanboys and magazine hacks, i have real world, empirical proof that BMW vehicles are unreliable and over hyped German junk. But every year, some magazine will crow, “It’s the car of the year!” because the writer was given a free hotel room, meals and other perks, courtesy of BMW Corporation. All car news is fake news, at least in the mainstream car magazines. And all political news is fake news, because the networks all work for the politicians, and politicians work for the One Percent.

I can’t find the quote now, but didn’t Franken say he would resign “in the coming weeks”? Might that mean he’ll wait for Moore to win and then claim everything has changed? Between now and next Tuesday they can reclaim the moral high ground. Meanwhile just wait for another R to get in trouble. That could go on forever.

I doubt it has anything to do with the Moore election. Franken will be replaced with another Democrat. His resignation is good PR and at worst a lateral move for them. I suspect it’s just Franken being stubborn. Having your ass kissed every day because you’re a Senator is tough to give up.

No doubt and it’s amusing how the Democrats are already trying to use Franken’s resignation to virtue signal as if they’ve sacrificed anything. The governor of Minnesota will just install another Dem in his place.

I think what you are missing here, Bark, is that there is no real “us and them.” That is for the public and, alongside one another the halls of our nation’s government, these partisan adversaries are professional and congenial. None of this would be being spoken about at all were it not for the media thrusting the subject into the public eye. Once it’s out, they have to react.

What’s unnerving here is that the Democrats are acting while the Republicans are piling on. The Congress has become so partisan and the issues so hotly debated that both sides are willing to play to “politics” rather than do what is right. You are totally correct in your assessment right away, if there was any chance at all that Franken could be replaced with a Republican, the entire Democratic caucus would be standing around with their hands thrust uncomfortably in the pockets while they looked at their feet. Fortunately, the political siuations has given them the latitude to do the “right thing.” The Republicans, meanwhile, are on the roller coaster ride to hell – I hope that works out for them.

        Come on, Deadweight,
Try to see things from Bark’s perspective. He’s less talented than his brother, Less attractive. Less of a man, really. He deserts his family every week so he can pride himself on making a few bucks more than the other sad people in his ticky tack development in Pensatucky.

This is really all he has. He holds onto hope that by parroting RNC throwaway lines that someday his hero will visit him and force him to fellate the tiny Trump dong. And then his life will be complete. Until then, allow Bark his little tantrums and laugh at him in private like everyone else.

I read the first sentence and skipped the remainder of the, remarkably long, screed. They say that apathy is worse than hate; no passion. Based on this novel, it appears that the Barkster is igniting some flames up in here!

When you start your comments with an ad hominem, the tone is pretty clear and you know where the road is generally going. I’m sure it was extremely thoughtful, though. Let me guess: moron, dumb ass, Nazi….wonderfully thought out arguments that will surely cause the recipient to reconsider their positions. Bark’s mind must be reeling, reeling I tell you.

Oh, I just saw putz at the end. That kind of insightful, reasoned wit can only spring forth from the mind of an enlightened statist. The government is your friend. High five a bureaucrat and make sure you follow their orders or, you know, might get an agent with a gun in your grill. Don’t worry, the bullets hug you! Yay!

Most people are ignorant, but they lack the arrogance to broadcast what they don’t know, or broadcast that which think they know , in as arrogant and grating a fashion as Mark “<3 Sean Hannity" Beauty.

Both parties are bad, as I've stated, they offer window dressing up to try and divide and marshal voters, but typically, the party in power is the worse of the two, at any given time, as the slime beneath the surface (donors and special interests leveraging said party, commonly but not always the same – though the Goldman Sachs' & General Electrics and IBMs and Googles will be there regardless of which party is empowered).

And by the way, for those keeping real score of the facts, expect the following names to repeatedly surface with respect to the Mueller IC report, and in many cases, to be referenced in unsealed and sealed indictments, by the time the IC files a report with the Congress and DOJ:

        Mike Flynn*
        Mike Pompeo*
        Erik Prince*
        Jared Kushner*
        Mike Pence* (you will see)
And the man, myth and legend himself, Orange Droolius*

*and various business and other associated thereof.

There is a lot more, deeply nefarious activity that went on AFTER inauguration, including, but not limited to, illicit proposals by Flynn and partners to take pay to filter nuclear power plant contracts throughout the mideast, set up a batshit crazy private NOC operation to spy on U.S. Intelligence Agencies and shared findings with Trumpito, have this same agency act on the behest of the Chinese Government, and launder money from Russia, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Israel (Netanyahu is under serious investigation), Turkey, Iran, China…

        ….and much, much more.

Trump is already aware that he's boxed in, and Pompeo will be inculpated in illegal activity by witness Mattis and McMaster, and newly appointed FBI Director Christopher Wray will not be nearly as forgiving, easy-going or "loyal" as Trump can only fantasize.

Read up on the recent travels of Erik Prince to the Seychelles and his meeting with Dmitriev (a Putin surrogate) after which Mike Flynn (during Trumpito's inaguration, no less) boasted about how Russian sanctions would be "ripped up" with a business partner (the business that was consulting and taking foreign wire transfers from Turkey, at the very least, and likely many other foreign client states) on text messages.

There's so much more here; Manafort, Rick Gates, Flynn et al are just the tip of the iceberg.

I guess you don't read twitter or facebook.. This site is just a more secluded and expensive place to "broadcast" unlike facebook or twitter. And don't even get me started on the "Analysis" or "Opinion" pieces on CNN or Fox. If you want to see arrogance, go check them out.

I can say firsthand that *none* of these politicians work for Silicon Valley – all our companies literally make money in spite of Washington, both Ds and Rs, and in many cases because there is such demand for outwitting the government (e.g. PayPal). If California Democrats funneled as much money and regulatory protection to Silicon Valley as Texas Republicans funnel to their oil industry, Apple would already be at $1.5 trillion in market cap and Tesla would be more valuable than ExxonMobil.

I can also say with very much first-hand knowledge that pharma benefits greatly from Republicans but not Democrats, despite the fact that nearly all U.S. Pharma profits end up in blue states. The Democrats would have allowed Medicare to negotiate drug prices long, long ago, which would be a short-term good thing, but would also literally kill most R&D in the industry. (Note that Trump said he would do something and then has done an abrupt 180 on that when getting into office.) No Democrat appointee to the FDA would have supported expedited regulatory paths like Accelerated Approval (although Henry Waxman, a Dem, did partner up with Orrin Hatch to create the expedited pathway for rare disease drugs).

I understand that when someone lies it’s bad but simply saying ever more offensive things about either side, isn’t going to help anything and puts you down in the gutter right next to whomever it is you think you’re superior to .

    I can see the Republicans taking a page from the Democrats playbook on Roy Moore;

Moore wins the election and is sworn in. Within a few short weeks, he bows to the pressure and resigns. The governor then appoints a Republican to fill the seat. A few short weeks after he is replaced all will be forgotten( except by the likes of vogo and deadweight who will still be flopping around on the floor foaming at the mouth squeaking “but Trump, but Trump”)

So, in order for the ‘good cop/bad cop’ routine to work, the ‘good cop’-side now has to remove one of their bad apples.
In the meantime, the ‘bad cop’-side is apparently not as unpopular in right wing propaganda as the left wing propaganda wants their followers to believe…
