Meetup Alert: Come Hang With Bark In Indianapolis This Weekend

The rumors are true—while cleaning out my bonus room I found my saxophone hidden under a pile of children’s toys. Figured I might as well use it. As a result, I’m playing with the Jeff Jensen Band this weekend at the Slippery Noodle on Friday and Saturday nights. We hit at 9:00 PM and go until 1:30 AM or so. The Noodle is the oldest bar in the great State of Indiana, and it’s located right in downtown Indianapolis on the corner of Meridian and Fourth Streets.

Jeff Jensen is quite possibly the best blues guitarist alive today. He’s been nominated for two Blues Foundation awards, and his latest record, Morose Elephant, has been receiving rave reviews from everybody who hears it.

If you show up before 8:30, the cover is just five bucks, and you can enjoy some surprisingly good bar food while you’re at it. I’ll be playing very loud, very fast, and very high all night. If any Riverside Green readers are in the area, I’d be honored if you’d stop by one of the two nights we’re performing—or even both!

Too far to drive, bummer. My old tenor is gathering dust in my music room while I build furniture for our new house. It tends to gather dust at the same rate as my amps and guitars.
