My Back Pages (And Plants)

Another big snow day here in Ohio. It’s Vodka McBigbra’s birthday and all fingers are crossed in the hopes that the current blizzard will come to a halt in time to hold a celebratory dinner.

My son’s running around the house shooting his NERF guns at people. (As opposed to HERF gun.) Meanwhile, I’ve found this picture, which a little digging told me was shot at Frenchs Forest in Sydney, Australia, in 1972. What’s cooler than seventy-five percent of Led Zeppelin on Suzuki off-roaders? On Any Sunday indeed. The question, however, is this: Where’s John Paul Jones? Maybe he’s the one who took the photo. Or maybe, just maybe, he’s doing what Plant quipped during press conferences for the “Page and Plant Unledded” tour: “He’s out back, parking the car.”
