Last years Gator-O-Rama at MSR Houston was nearly a total disaster, redeemed only by the fact that my brother had a brilliant racing debut in a terrible car.
This year I’m running with a great crew. Yes, it’s a Turbo. No, it isn’t holding boost. We’ll get it fixed. I’m looking forward to the weekend.

A Lemons race in a Porsche - and for a moment I thought the reflection in the paint was evidence of an underhood leak. Go get ’em!
This year’s BFE was a lot of fun to watch, and the 928 led up to the final hour, with the 2 before that spewing huge clouds of smoke during deceleration as the valve guides deteriorated.
Jack is appreciated by many, and trashed by a few. His physical appearance is larger than life, and his personality matches that. With a looming figure, bright eyes, pale skin, and a soft voice, he conveys advice about my 944 above. He pulled me away from my team for a heartfelt talk about my safety and my need for a Hans versus my current foam neck brace. What a great friend! Thanks, Jack!!
