Strictly speaking, you can’t ride for Harambe unless you have gorilla-level power, which is why we do not feature bicycles nor do we feature 50cc scooters with the exception of the infamous Tomos Silver Bullet. But my eye was caught by what’s behind the Litespeed. Is Mr. Schreiber planning a Setright-like appearance in Orthodox mufti behind the wheel of a certain classic British roadster in the future?

Well, the Lotus Twin Cam is based on the Ford Kent Block so I’d say it’s not a forbidden mixture like meat & milk, linen & wool, or a small block Chevy in a ’32 Ford. The latter could possibly be prohibited as a kal v’chomer ( “minori ad majus” or “majori ad minus.”) case related to not yoking an ox and a donkey together.

Restomodded Elans will often use a Zetec and the Spyder aftermarket frame, along with a 5 speed. Well, unless you’re Jay Leno. His 26R has a 2 liter aluminum block (not sure who made it) topped with the Twin Cam head I believe, driving through a Quaife 6 speed sequential gearbox. There are probably Elans with Cosworth BDAs as well.
Now you’re talking! Awesome bike. I have a moots titanium road bike. Titanium has the feel of steel with better corrosion resistance. There is nothing wrong with Shimano but Campagnolo is much sexier. Great ride.
I’ve a Specialized mountain bike which I’ve beaten the ever-loving piss out of, and it refuses to fail me. I’d take it to work every now and again if pretty much all feasible routes didn’t take me through unsavory areas of the City of Detroit. a few of my co-workers live in Livonia, and will bike Hines Drive to and from work. I envy them.
Oh, and what’s with the Harambe stuff? I don’t get the link.
It’s a dumb meme - basically the lulz is not letting the memory die and bringing it up too much. About the time jack started collecting pictures, there was a face of the meme “dicks out for harambe” and Jack, ever the responsible adult and nemesis of degeneracy, gave it a meaningful twist “bikes out for harambe”.
It’s unlikely the harambe meme will fade out as fast as other memes because you get more lulz for bringing it up when it starts to fade.

Thanks, it’s got a very rare Rock Shox Ruby road suspension fork. I think it handles better than a fixed fork but in any case it really helps with keeping the shoulders from aching on long rides.
Its odd to me that some form of road bike suspension technology didn’t soldier on longer. I have always been a huge fan of the Cannondale Silk Road bikes with a shortened travel Headshok. Its a slight weight penalty over a conventional rigid fork, but not much, and doesn’t suffer from some of the squishy steering some people feel in the twin tube style. The new Cannondale Slate doesn’t count because its heavy and uses oddball sizing.
With the growing popularity of “gravel bikes” I think we will start seeing more of that again.
