Dyson And Friends

The “lightweights” test is up on R&T online. As with my Wraith piece, I wish I’d done more with this one, and I wish I’d sat in for more of the photos, but what can you do?

Check it out here. One commenter snarks that I’ve clearly never raced a Miata if I’d rather drive a fast car quickly than a slow car quickly. I think he misunderstands my point, which is that something like the SP/300.R, which generates 2.5g of cornering at 120mph, is far more thrilling than any Miata could possibly be.

Jack, I finally got around to finishing this most recent R&T (subscriber since I was 3, or since 85) and I thought the Wraith article was very well written. I look forward to next month and I think you’ve got a great future there.

That comment about the Miata struck me as the quintessential keyboard commando saying something just to say something. Why stop at Miata? I would much rather drive an MG with a misfire and one low tire than an LMP.

Yeah, what a twerp. I love driving a Miata around a track. It’s a blast, but after lapping a track it in a high power track monster, no I don’t dream about it.

Tai Chis is a wonderful meditation and fitness experience, and it is highly reccomended. But people go see movies about Kung Fu, and little children practice “karate moves” for the same reason. No one dreams of being a Tai Chi master.

Outstanding writing here Jack. This publication really needed a writer like you. I’m actually considering buying a subscription. Who would have thought…
