Ridin’ For Harambe, Part 3

I suppose it was inevitable that somebody would let the Ducs out. You rich bastards. This one belongs to Tyler. He says, “Happened to find parking next to the only other Italian vehicle in my office lot this morning.” This looks like a GT1000 Sport Classic to me, although if I’m wrong I know somebody will have the right answer.

Looks more like the Sportclassic 1000S flavor, sans headlamp fairing. GT1000 comes with different rear dampers/struts without the piggyback reservoir, and has a mock oil-tank cover, and a differently styled fuel tank.

I really really wanted one of those, but just couldn’t bring myself to pull the trigger on a purchase. Something about Italian engineering and reliability. Sexy as hell, but wasn’t sure if it would be a long term ownership match. Would love to hear details.

I remember when they couldn’t give these away. Now you see low mileage examples selling for more than they were new. The dangers of being ahead of the market.
