The Critics Respond, Part Ten
I cannot express how pleased and proud I am to have this month’s cover story in R&T. With this new Performance Car Of The Year feature, I think we’re working hard to close the credibility gap with the British magazines. We brought four guys with race licenses to this event, self included, and we drove them as hard as we dared. Please buy and read it. I’ll owe you one.

You should have some kind of contest on TTAC where you give away a signed copy. People would go nuts for it.
Great work on this, Jack! A thorough analysis, and I really liked the track + real roads process. We’re Corvette and MINI enthusiasts at our house (but really, enjoy anything with an engine…we may become LeMons racers at some point!) and were glad to see the C7 get its due among this crowd. Now, about that MINI GP2…geez. It really did suck that badly? That stinks, it’s full of good stuff that ought to work well. Puzzling.
The MINI GP just didn’t have its act together chassis-wise. I’ve driven better MINIs in the past. And compared to the Fiesta it feels very much like a musclecar.

Your new regular contributions to R&T was what tipped me over the edge to subscribing. I’m glad to see an American car magazine finally start to escape the cycle of press releases and junket write-ups. Keep it up!
